Is your child giving you a hard time about forgetting to do something for them you absolutely said you would, or disappointing them in some capacity??  Simply say, I’m sorry for your disappointment, I had diarrhea.  Conversation should end.  Particularly effective for middle schoolers, or those just entering high school.  Joanne
